Ron Burgett

Ron has been Executive Vice President of Development with Northcott Hospitality of Chanhassen, Minnesota since January 2010.


Northcott Hospitality is the proud parent company of AmericInn hotels and a leading franchisee of Perkins Restaurant & Bakery and Houlihan’s. Operating over 230 locations throughout the United States, AmericInn is a major player in the U.S. hotel industry. Northcott also operates 21 Perkins locations and four award-winning Houlihan’s. In addition to these operations, Northcott provides hospitality management through Three Rivers Hospitality, offering full property management services.

 

Burgett served as Founder and President of Indianapolis-based Hospitality Sales Group (HSG), a real estate brokerage and hospitality consulting firm with expanded services in site selection, hotel evaluation, and franchise negotiation. He holds real estate licenses in IN, MI, VA and DC.

 

Ron spent 13 years with the publicly traded hotel franchisor Choice Hotels International®, managing in progressive roles within the organization from operations to sales, culminating his tenure as the National Vice President of Development. As Vice President of Development, he managed US and Caribbean sales and development efforts for Choice Hotel’s established brands; Comfort Suites®, Comfort Inn®, Quality Inns & Suites®, Clarion Hotels®, Clarion Collection Hotels®, Sleep Inn®, Mainstay Suites®, Suburban Lodge®, Econo Lodge® and Rodeway Inn®. He is best noted for managing the world-class Choice development team through several record sales years.

 

Ron also has extensive experience in property management from working with the Charlotte, North Carolina based Maxim Management Corporation. He managed hotel operations in high volume franchised properties in Chicago, Indianapolis, and Grand Rapids. Restaurant management experience includes managing multiple Cracker Barrel and Max and Erma’s restaurants in the Midwest.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and received his Certified Hotel Administration (CHA) designation in 1990.
